I consider myself a proud alumna of the Marshalling Resources ACYNTION Scholarship--we lead, engage and inspire! The generous scholarship from Marshalling Resources was instrumental in helping me achieve my dream of becoming a registered nurse. My nursing program was accelerated and rigorous, demanding total focus on my part. The MR scholarship allowed me to focus on excelling academically rather than the distraction of financial concerns. Now that I’ve graduated I can truly lead, engage, and inspire as this scholarship helped me get to where I am; which is a Pediatric Emergency Nurse in Greensboro, NC, who will be continuing my education this summer in pursuit of my Master’s in Nursing Informatics.​

Ashley Wiley - BSN, RN

As a young Black woman, our dreams aren’t often funded with the same care & held to the same standard as others. I entered Boston University to study theater. Though it is often argued that theater is just an art form, many fail to realize the weight and influence of the arts on mainstream society. For Marshalling Resources to hold my dreams high and provide support to turn them into a reality is such a privilege and a gift. With their help, I have found a home in the arts and I have made connections in the realm of Audio book & Commercial Voiceover acting narration. I plan to take a year abroad in Paris, France to learn French as I expand my knowledge of the Afro-Parisian experience. I already have play ideas surrounding the topic, and, thanks to MR, they are no longer dreams but attainable goals.
